At only 32 years old, Master Sgt. Zechariah Pesach Haber tragically fell in battle on January 16 in the northern Gaza Strip while on reserve duty. His death was particularly painful for the OU family, as he was the beloved nephew our chief strategy officer, Rabbi Ilan Haber. In memory of Zechariah and all of the soldiers who gave their lives al kiddush Hashem, we held a worldwide siyum at a live-streamed Yom Hazikaron commemoration.
